Plot
Sharon (Claudine Barretto), a poor 16-year-old girl who lives with her grandfather and her grandmother, is very poor and lonely because her parents died in a car accident years ago. One day, she gets a crush on a young boy named Brandon (Rico Yan), who is a spoiled rich kid at her school. She falls in love with him, but she does not reveal her feelings to him. Instead, she reveals her feelings to her close friends, especially the beautiful, rich and popular Ria (Carla Estrada). Sharon does not want to lose Brandon and is ready to share her life and everything that she has with him, including her house and money.
Brandon, on the other hand, is a pretty boy who is always surrounded by pretty girls. He has big dreams of going to the best schools in the United States. He is afraid of failing because he is doing well in his studies, and he is afraid of losing his best friend, Joey (Josh Almonte), who he has always been kind to and taken care of.
Sharon is surprised when Brandon actually likes her. He continues to pursue her, but Sharon is reluctant to have anything to do with Brandon. Joey, however, tells Brandon that Sharon likes him, and Brandon pursues her. However, he has to put a lot of pressure on Sharon, who refuses to go out with him or meet his friends. Eventually, Sharon gives in, goes out with Brandon, and makes new friends. Soon, she realizes that he is also the poor kid that she took care of when she was a child. She then tells Brandon about this, but he refuses to believe her.
However, Joey tells Brandon that Sharon likes him, and it is too late. Brandon is suddenly in love with her. He confesses his love to Sharon, but Sharon is unsure. Joey agrees to keep Brandon from Sharon, but Sharon still wants to go out with him. Joey realizes that Sharon is in love with Brandon, so he does not tell Brandon about Sharon.
Sharon goes to a party, where she talks with Brandon's friends. At the end of the party, Sharon and Joey kiss. Sharon
